Across Kenya, the Assemblies of God is planting new churches rapidly. But for nearly 400 of these church plants, there’s one major challenge—they don’t have a building to meet in. Many are forced to gather under trees, exposed to heavy rains, scorching sun, and flooding that often washes away their meeting ground entirely. In many communities, churches without buildings are viewed as temporary or illegitimate, making reaching people with the gospel harder. Without a permanent place to worship, churches struggle to grow and gather consistently.

Through the Churches Under the Tree Project, we have the opportunity to change this. In partnership with the Kenya Assemblies of God, we’re helping provide permanent, prefabricated structures to churches that need them most. These buildings go up in just a few days and immediately give pastors and congregations a safe, consistent, and dignified space to worship.
