LEAD Explained
-
Leadership isn't something we want you to have to figure out on your own.
Whether it's leading team members, partnering with national church leaders, or making ministry decisions, leadership is something we learn through intentional growth and development. That's why AGWM created LEAD—to invest in your growth so you can lead effectively.
LEAD is AGWM's leadership development journey, designed to help you grow in your leadership capacity through practical learning, personal reflection, and learning in community.
-
You have influence, which means you have the opportunity to build up those around you. God has placed you in a position that can increase a teams effectiveness when engaging our mission of establishing the Church.
We believe every leader has the capacity to grow. When you engage with LEAD, you join a community of other leaders working to grow in character, sharpen leadership skills, and process real ministry challenges.
Lead isn’t about checking a box or watching a series of videos—it’s about growing alongside other leaders so, together, we can better accomplish what God has called us to do.
-
LEAD consists of four levels built as a progressive journey. Each level combines self-paced online learning with practical application and reflection. The material is designed to have real-world practicality that immediately applies to your ministry environment.
In Africa, we are building LEAD around a relational model as we seek to grow in community. As an organizational leader, you are starting with LEAD 3 which is created within a cohort framework that meets virtually every 4-6 weeks.
We want LEAD not just be a self-guided discovery process, but a culture of growing as leaders in Africa in community.
LEAD 1 — Leading Yourself
LEAD 2 — Leading Others
LEAD 3 — Leading Teams
LEAD 4 — Leading Organizations -
LEAD3 combines online learning with virtual cohort conversations that happen every 4-6 weeks. To complete LEAD 3, you will have seven virtual cohort calls.
Before each meeting, you will complete the assigned LEAD3 unit on intl.training. During the virtual cohort call you will build on the learning, share experiences, encourage one another, and explore practical implementation alongside 8-10 other leaders in Africa.
The cohort calls are not built to be lectures. These are guided conversations designed to create space for growth through relationships and reflection.
-
We've worked to make your role simple.
For each cohort call: come prepared to fully participate with a willingness to grow and engage in conversation.
Before each cohort call: complete the LEAD3 unit’s coursework in order to have the knowledge and tools to engage in the upcoming conversation.
We are asking you to show up for honest discussion, respect confidentiality, and work to apply what you’re learning in your leadership. The more effort you put in, the better the experience will be and the greater the outcome for you!
